For generations, the rolling hills of Styria have yielded one of nature's most potent gifts. We exist to bring it to your table — unchanged, unrefined, alive.

A Personal Note

Why I started Sivela.

Growing up in Slovenia, pumpkin seed oil was always on the table — dark, nutty, irreplaceable. It was the oil that finished a bowl of soup, dressed a simple salad, and made ordinary food taste like it came from somewhere real. I never questioned whether it could be any other way.

When I looked for that same quality beyond the region, I couldn't find it. What I found instead were pale imitations: heat-treated, blended, stripped of everything that makes this oil extraordinary. Refined into a product that bears the name but carries none of the soul.

Sivela started as a simple refusal to accept that. One source, one method, one standard. We press in small batches because that is the only way to do this properly. We will not scale what cannot be scaled without compromise.

From Seed to Bottle

Every step is deliberate. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is hidden.

Harvest

Seeds are collected only when they reach peak nutritional density in the Styrian autumn — never early, never in bulk.

Step 02

Gentle Roasting

Open-pan roasting at low temperature unlocks the deep, nutty aroma without generating heat that destroys nutrients.

Step 03

Cold Press

The roasted seeds are pressed slowly, with zero additional heat applied, preserving every enzyme, antioxidant, and fatty acid.

Step 04

Bottling

Pressed in small batches and bottled immediately to lock in freshness. No additives, no blending, no compromise.

Our seeds come exclusively from small family farms in the Styrian region — the only place on earth where the climate, soil, and centuries of tradition converge to produce pumpkin seeds of this quality. We know exactly which farms press our seeds. We visit every season. That traceability is not a marketing claim — it is the foundation of everything we do.

Cold press only. Heat destroys what makes this oil extraordinary — every enzyme, every antioxidant, every fatty acid that gives it its character and potency.

No industrial scale

Small batches, every time. The moment we scale beyond what a single season's harvest can properly support, the quality changes. We refuse to let that happen.
